Police Arrest Three Suspected Car Snatchers, Recover Stonebwoy’s Road Manager’s Stolen Car

Ghana Police have apprehended three individuals suspected of being involved in a car-snatching syndicate and successfully recovered three stolen vehicles, including a Mercedes-Benz C300 belonging to the tour manager of popular rapper Stonebwoy.

The theft of Stonebwoy’s vehicle occurred in East Legon shortly after he parted ways with the manager and a friend. Following the incident, coordinated operations were carried out in Accra, Takoradi, and Tamale based on police intelligence, leading to the arrests.

To the authorities’ surprise, all three stolen vehicles, originally taken from Accra, were found in the vicinity of Tamale.

The suspects, identified as Isaac Brena Eshun, Peter Amuzu, and Ibrahim Mohammed, were arrested between August 21st and 24th, 2024. Along with the Mercedes-Benz C300, the police recovered two iPhones, a Mercedes-Benz C180, and three other vehicles believed to have been acquired through illegal means.

Investigations have revealed that the suspects are part of a larger criminal network involved in stealing and selling vehicles across the country. The three individuals are currently in police custody, assisting with further inquiries into the syndicate’s operations.

Meanwhile, the police continue their efforts to dismantle the network and ensure that all those involved are brought to justice.
