President Akufo-Addo has emphasized the unwavering commitment of all law enforcement agencies, including the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, to uphold the rule of law and maintain order as Ghana approaches the December elections.
During the commissioning of the Law House in Accra, President Akufo-Addo assured the nation that no political party or presidential candidate will be exempt from legal consequences if they violate the law. He stressed that law enforcement agencies will use their full authority to ensure peace and order, especially during this critical election year.
“I want to use the opportunity on this platform to reassure the Ghanaian people that the law enforcement agencies of the state, including the office of the Attorney General, will do all within their power to ensure that law and order prevail in the country at all times, especially during this critical election year,” the President stated.

President Akufo-Addo also highlighted Ghana’s reputation as a beacon of democracy on the African continent, attributing it to the country’s commitment to peace, security, and stability. He warned that the ambitions of any political party or presidential candidate will not be allowed to compromise these values.
“The laws and our statute books, including those on vigilantism, will be strictly and vigorously enforced to preserve the peace and tranquillity of the country. We owe that to the good people of Ghana who have demonstrated so consistently and openly their deep commitment to peaceful democratic values,” he added.
