Gideon Adu Boakye, an officer stationed at the Nsawam Prisons, was tragically killed in Kasoa Iron City within the Awutu Senya Municipality of the Central Region. The incident occurred over the weekend while he was visiting his mother.
In an interview with Adom News, Eric Akoto, the deceased’s brother, revealed that Gideon was attacked approximately 100 meters from the roadside. He was reportedly stabbed, and his lifeless body was later discovered in a nearby gutter. Eyewitnesses who heard the confrontation indicated that Gideon’s pleas for mercy went unheard.
Eric noted that Gideon was in his early 30s and had no wife or children. His body has been taken to the Police Hospital Mortuary for further examination. The family is urging state security agencies to conduct a swift investigation and bring those responsible for this heinous act to justice.
Neighbors, left in shock by the brutal murder, described Gideon as a calm gentleman with a gentle heart. The community is mourning his loss and calling for increased security measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
