According to GHANAsoccernet.com, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh completes a permanent transfer move to Swiss super League side club FC Zurich.
The 21-year-old will join the Swiss giants after the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) 2022, which commences from Friday, January 13 to Saturday, February 4, where he will sign for Zurich after passing his medical examination.
The report added that, the Phobians would get a compensation fee of $150,000 from Zurich once the transfer is completed rather than a transfer fee for the player whose contract at the club was extended until after the CHAN competition.
Most clubs in America, Europe and Africa have shown interest in the youngster’s abilities, following his tremendous performance with the Black Stars in the friendlies against Switzerland in Abu Dhabi.
Two years ago, Afriyie Barnieh helped Accra Hearts of Oak win the Ghana Premier League championship and the MTN FA Cup twice in a row. He has been the talisman for the club since his debut on January 19, 2020 in a 2-1 victory against Liberty Professionals.
Due to his outstanding performance, Barnieh played for the Black Satellites, Black Meteors, Black Galaxies, and the senior national team, the Black Stars.

In the 2021African Cup of Nations(AFCON), the attacker also helped the U-20 squad to victory in Mauritania.
