The five times Ballon D’or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo arrived in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia on Monday evening ahead of the much-awaited ceremony.
The Portuguese national team captain, Cristiano Ronaldo will officially be unveiled by his new club Al Nassr FC at the club’s Mrsool Park stadium in Riyadh at 7pm (16:00 GMT) today, January 3.
Ronaldo having conquered Europe is on a new mission to conquer Asia. Al Nassr captioned in a tweet with pictures of Ronaldo’s arrival that, “After conquering Europe, the iconic star is on a new mission to conquer ASIA.”

The 37-year-old has gone on a two and half year agreement with the club (Al Nassr) which runs through till 2025, that will make him the most-paid soccer player in history with a reported annual salary of approximately $200 million.
This is the first time in decades in Ronaldo’s football career playing outside Europe.
Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United got terminated during the World Cup after a startling interview where he said he had no respect for coach Erik ten Hag and has also felt “betrayed” by the club.

Al Nassr, the nine-time Saudi league champions, is very happy to have the top goal scorer in the Champions League and also the winner of Euro 2016 in their team. This is by far a great signing for the club.
The news of Ronaldo’s signing was posted on social media by the club and was captioned that: “History in the making. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves.Welcome @Cristiano to your new home.”
