After failing to show up for the event, dancehall musician Shatta Wale was seen groveling and pleading with the Hogbetsotso festival’s sponsor in Volta Region.
Shatta Wale and Bola Ray were seen pleading with the organizers to pardon Shatta Wale for his actions despite having signed a contract in a video posted by blogger Ronnieiseverywhere.
After Bola Ray gave him the opportunity to speak, the dancehall musician went forward and bent over as an expression of apology for not appearing on stage.
Before he could complete his motion, Joseph Addo-Yobo, executive director of Total Family Health Organization and owner of the Ebony Condoms brand, asked the leader of the Shatta Movement to stand up straight.
Shatta Wale provided an explanation for his inability to attend the Hogbetsotso Beach Rave in Tegbi, Volta Region, on November 8, 2022, in a Facebook live video.
He said that he didn’t turn up because he wasn’t informed of the correct event date and that certain agreements had been broken.
