Stonebwoy, a multi-award-winning reggae-dancehall artist, has been recognized by popular music streaming platform Audiomack for being the first Ghanaian to surpass 100 million streams.
Stonebwoy made the presentation following his outstanding performance at the recently concluded Afrochella music festival at the El Wak Sports Stadium.
In accepting the award, the ‘Greedy Men’ singer thanked his fans and all music fans for making it possible.
“This is for all of you, this is every single stream that you guys streamed. God Bless you! And, I promise you that next year, I am going to drop an Album,” Stonebwoy said in a brief interview backstage.
Also, audiomack has honored celebrated Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif after his songs on the music streaming platform surpassed 100 million streams.
The presentation took place on the second day of the recently concluded Afrobeats music festival, Afro Nation, which was held at the Independent Square’s Marine Drive.
Balck Sherif, who received the award after a stellar performance at Afro Nation, smiled as he thanked his fans for making this possible.
In a video posted to Audiomack’s official Instagram account, the crowd was seen cheering as the Audiomack team approached the stage with the plaque.
