Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known as Stonebwoy, a multi-award-winning dancehall and reggae performer, has stated his opposition to any of his children identifying as gays or lesbians.
The ‘Pull Up’ hitmaker reiterated that he considers himself heterosexual, which he expects his children to inherit due to the upbringing they are now receiving from him and his wife.
Stonebwoy stated on Starr FM, “I believe that people will take after you most of the time.” My father was straight, and my mother was straight. As far as I am concerned, the majority of my family line demonstrated straightness. So I believe I am straight and that I can prove it.
“My wife is straight, My daughter has got to be straight, and my son has got to be straight because they are continuing in that. So they are going to learn that.”

It’s worth mentioning that Ghanaian lawmakers have been debating a bill that would outlaw same-sex relationships, being transgender, and advocating for LGBTQ rights since August 2021.
The measure, dubbed as the Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values measure, has received widespread support in Ghana, with suggested prison penalties of up to ten years for people pushing for LGBTQ rights.
The plan, which has the support of religious and traditional authorities, includes criminal penalties for publishing anything that is considered pro-LGBTQ or that questions traditional binary gender identities.
