In a high-profile legal battle, Ghanaian Afro-dancehall superstar Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, has taken politician and entertainment critic Sadiq Abdulai Abu, also called Baba Sadiq, to court over comments made on the latter’s X page (previously Twitter).
The writ, filed in the High Court of Justice on May 31, 2024, sees Baba Sadiq, who was named Ghanaian Artist of the Year, requesting that the court order him to remove the offending tweets and provide Stonebwoy with an unconditional apology.

The legal tussle stems from remarks made by Baba Sadiq, a prominent figure in Ghana’s entertainment industry, on his X page regarding the award-winning musician Stonebwoy.
Though the specifics of the tweets have not been publicly disclosed, they have evidently struck a nerve with Stonebwoy, prompting the chart-topping artist to seek legal recourse.
