Strongman Burner Attributes Musical Success to Departure from Sarkodie’s Label

Former Sarkcess Music signee, Strongman, has disclosed how he attained popularity and financial success after leaving the record label. Following the end of his contract with MicBurnez Music, Strongman joined Sarkcess Music in 2017 but eventually decided to part ways in 2019.

During his tenure with Sarkcess Music, Strongman released notable songs like “Odasani,” “Monster,” “Vision,” and “Baby Girl.” In an interview shared on Twitter by Ama Sadat, Strongman discussed how his career blossomed after his departure from the label, resulting in increased earnings and recognition.

According to Strongman, his financial success in the music industry began to emerge around the time he contemplated leaving Sarkcess Music. He revealed that prior to joining the label, he had some savings earmarked for purchasing a car, but he opted to spend the money on other ventures instead.

“I believe it was when I was about to leave Sarkcess that I started making money in music. Before joining Sarkcess, I had some money which could have been used to buy a car, but I chose to spend it on other things,” he stated.

During the interview, Strongman expressed gratitude to Sarkodie, the CEO of Sarkcess Music, for supporting his growth in the entertainment industry. However, he emphasized that he currently feels more content and at peace in terms of creating music and other aspects of his life compared to his time with the label.

“After I left, life became stress-free. I am not saying that Sarkodie didn’t help me—I have never said that. Being with Sarkcess was like being in Form 1, and now, I have moved to Form 2. You don’t expect me to stay in the same place; I have to work harder and grow. Sarkcess did help me, but I am happy with the level I am at now. It’s not just about the money, but my mind feels clearer,” he explained.

Strongman acknowledged Sarkodie’s assistance while expressing contentment with his current position, indicating that he feels unburdened from certain constraints.
