Hajia4Reall, a Ghanaian socialite, is scheduled to be released from the US jail today after serving a sentence for conspiring to acquire stolen funds via romance scams, with intentions to return to Ghana.
Ghanaian socialite and musician Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia4Reall, is expected to be released today, May 22, 2025, from the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia.
According to other sources, Mona Faiz Montrage will complete her 1-year-and-1-day sentence today at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia. The 32-year-old Ghanaian socialite and musician was convicted for conspiracy to receive stolen money.
Montrage’s imprisonment resulted from her participation in a West African crime syndicate that orchestrated romance scams targeting elderly Americans, ultimately defrauding victims of more than $2 million through sophisticated internet fraud schemes.
Federal prosecutors established that Montrage personally received fraudulent transfers from about 40 victims through U.S. bank accounts. Court evidence showed she employed sophisticated narratives including fabricated gold shipment payments and false claims of FBI investigations to deceive victims.
Prior to her conviction, the social media influencer was apprehended in the United Kingdom and formally extradited to American jurisdiction in May 2023 to stand trial for her role in the transnational fraud scheme.

Court records show Montrage changed her plea to guilty in February 2024 and was sentenced four months later by Southern District of New York Judge J. Paul Oetken.
Montrage was sentenced to three years of supervised release in addition to her jail term. She was also ordered to pay $1,387,458 in restitution and forfeit $216,475 in total.
After serving her U.S. sentence, the Ghanaian celebrity will finally return home—her approved homecoming orchestrated by legal teams and blessed by the federal judge who sentenced her.
Her attorneys have informed the court that she is ready to start a new chapter in her life and make a constructive contribution to society when she returns.
