Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen Resigns.

Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Minister of Trade and Industry has tendered in his resignation from government.

Mr Kyerematen is said to have tendered in his resignation on Thursday, January 5 to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The resignation letter was accepted by the President.

Mr Kyerematen has, in the past, contested and lost the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearership race, to Nana Akufo-Addo on all attempts .

In 2007, he had to concede defeat, preventing a third round of voting at the NPP’s presidential primaries , where the infamous 17 candidates including then Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama contested the race.

Mr Kyerematen, however, tipped to return to the race and begin his campaign, will have to compete with the likes, Vice President Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong and some others.
