Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has conveyed his condolences to the family of Mumuni Fuseini, a staff member in his office, who tragically lost his life over the weekend.
Fuseini was involved in a fatal accident with a vehicle from the convoy of the Second Lady, Hajia Samira, near Nobewam in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality of the Ashanti Region, along the Kumasi-Accra Highway.

In a post on X, the Vice President lauded Fuseini as a dedicated member of the Closed Protection Unit in his office. Dr. Bawumia expressed deep sorrow over the loss and extended his sympathies to the grieving family and everyone who was close to the deceased.
“It is with deep sorrow that I announce the death of Mumuni Fuseini, a staff in my office. He died yesterday from an accident involving a vehicle in the Convoy of the Second Lady, Hajia Samira. Fuseini was a hardworking member of the Closed Protection Unit. He has since been buried according to Islamic traditions. My condolences to his family and friends. May Allah forgive Fuseini’s shortcomings and grant him Jannah,” the Vice President wrote.
Meanwhile, reports indicated that Second Lady Samira Bawumia is reported to be ‘doing well and unhurt’ following the accident.
