Roberto Calenda, the agent of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, has strongly threatened legal action against Napoli. This follows the club’s posting of a video that was seen as mocking their star player.

Calenda expressed serious concern, stating that the club’s actions had caused “significant harm to the player.” In a statement shared on the messaging platform X (formerly known as Twitter), he strongly criticized the video that Napoli had shared on its TikTok page.

“What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is unacceptable. A video mocking Victor was first posted and then, albeit belatedly, deleted,” Calenda stated. He also mentioned that their team might pursue legal action against Napoli to protect their client.

“We reserve the right to take legal action and any other necessary steps to safeguard Victor.”

Napoli’s official TikTok account had mocked Osimhen for missing a penalty during their goalless draw against Bologna on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

After the match, the club’s TikTok profile shared a video that depicted Osimhen appealing for a penalty and then missing it, accompanied by laughter in the background. There was also another video in circulation referring to Osimhen as a ‘coconut.
