Investigators established that the victim had been lured away under false pretenses to the residence of Philip Dzifa Kofi Tefe at Teshie Agbleza by Sarah Osei Adams.

The buyer, Sunday Omeje, was subsequently cautioned and detained for dishonestly receiving stolen goods. Police also arrested Josiah Obodai for his role in disposing of the body and impounded his father's Kia Morning vehicle used in the transport.
