Famous YouTube creator Jimmy Donaldson, globally recognized as MrBeast, has launched a major community development project in Ghana's Eastern Region designed to combat child labour.

Constructed on previously undeveloped land in the Eastern Region, Abna Dakwa Village was established following roughly one year of careful planning and eight months of active building.

The newly created community is now home to approximately 1,062 residents and operates around five primary pillars: education, healthcare, clean water, food security, and economic opportunity.

At the core of the community is a school capable of educating more than 300 students, paired with 10 residential homes for teachers.

To ensure essential health and community support, the development incorporates a medical clinic, a local marketplace, and improved sanitation systems.

Utility needs are addressed through water towers and solar-powered water systems that deliver clean water across the village, alongside solar energy installations designed to supply electricity.

To foster local economic independence and long-term food security, the site features agricultural facilities, fish tanks, and a chicken coop that enable community food production and income generation.

Furthermore, to support child nutrition and encourage steady classroom attendance, every student will receive free daily school meals for the next five years through a partnership with The Rockefeller Foundation.

For recreation, the village includes a football field and a children’s playground, giving local youth safe recreational spaces outside of the classroom while keeping them away from hazardous child labour in cocoa farming
