In an inspiring display of national solidarity and sports philanthropy, celebrated Ghanaian dancehall icon Stonebwoy has stepped forward to rally behind Ghana’s national amputee football team, the Black Challenge.
The award-winning musician made a personal visit to the Black Challenge during their training camp at Mensah Sarbah Park on the University of Ghana campus, spending time with the players and offering words of encouragement before unveiling his support package.
Demonstrating his commitment to social empowerment, Stonebwoy presented a financial contribution of GH¢100,000 to assist the squad's logistical and preparation needs.
He explained that this package was provided as a collaborative gesture on behalf of himself and the Burna Boy Music Group.
Handing over the donation, the musician noted humbly:
I'm supporting them with GH¢100,000. This is a token from me and the Burna Boy Music Group. This is not much at all, but I know it will go a long way to support the group.
Beyond the direct cash donation, Stonebwoy used the moment to advocate for broader institutional, corporate, and public assistance for para-athletes, reminding Ghanaians of the humanity, dignity, and personal sacrifices behind the team's achievements.
Making an impassioned appeal for sustainable support, he stated:
We need funds directed to the Amputee team so that they can continue to perform because these are people's fathers, uncles and our own brothers, and they're representing the nation.
Stonebwoy also extended heartfelt gratitude to the administrative leadership guiding Ghana’s para-sports sector, commending Samson Deen, the President of the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Ghana.
Acknowledging Deen's continuous leadership and tireless efforts, the artist added:
I want to say thank you to the President of NPC Ghana, President Samson Deen, a great man. He has carried a lot on his shoulders, his wings and bless him so he can continue to make people happy.

This financial boost arrives at a crucial juncture, as the Black Challenge is scheduled to depart Ghana for Mexico in the coming days.
Ghana faces a challenging road in the global showpiece, having been drawn into Group D alongside Angola, Iraq, and Colombia.
With training now at its peak, the contribution helps ease immediate camp constraints while delivering an immense psychological boost to a team eager to capture World Cup glory for Ghana.
Stonebwoy’s GH¢100,000 donation highlights how private patrons, corporate organizations, and cultural figures can uplift underfunded national sports teams.
As the Black Challenge gears up to take on Angola, Iraq, and Colombia in Mexico, sustained public backing will be pivotal to their tournament journey.
