Bawumia’s Nation-First Values Key to NPP’s 2028 Victory – Akosua Manu

Akosua Manu, Special Aide to former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is calling on New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwarts and executives to unite behind Bawumia’s leadership. Popularly known as “Kozie,” she describes Bawumia as a leader whose personal values perfectly mirror the party’s most successful electoral strategies.

Addressing a diverse group of party stakeholders including polling station executives, regional officers, and former ministers, Ms. Manu argued that the NPP thrives only when its flagbearer prioritizes the nation, follows clear principles, and remains people-centered. She firmly believes that among the current leadership, Dr. Bawumia best represents these three core pillars.

To support her claim, Ms. Manu drew parallels to historic NPP victories. She reminded the audience how John Agyekum Kufuor’s maturity in 1996 paved the way for his win in 2000. She also highlighted Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s decision to choose legal redress over public unrest after the 2012 elections, a move that eventually led to his 2016 triumph.

She emphasized that Dr. Bawumia recently demonstrated this same selflessness during the December 2024 general elections. Despite political tensions and reports of potential unrest, Bawumia chose restraint and national stability over his own personal ambitions.

Ms. Manu praised Bawumia as the “best vice president” Ghana has seen, noting his unwavering loyalty to the NPP. She asserted that he has never disparaged the party or placed his own goals above its collective values. Confident in his future performance, she urged party members to give him their votes and lead the NPP to a decisive victory in 2028.
