“Fasting Caused My Body Changes” – Florence Obinim Denies Surgery Allegations

Gospel singer Florence Obinim has finally addressed the public’s curiosity regarding her changing physical appearance. In a firm response to critics, the wife of Bishop Daniel Obinim dismissed all claims that she underwent cosmetic surgery to enhance her body.

During a candid discussion on the Christmas edition of Experience in Life with Nayas,” Mrs. Obinim clarified that she has never “gone under the knife.” Instead, she attributes her physical transformation to the rigorous spiritual discipline she maintains to support her husband’s ministry at International God’s Way Church.

She revealed that she temporarily paused her successful gospel music career to stand by her husband during a challenging season for his church. To help the ministry regain its footing, she engaged in intense periods of fasting, sometimes lasting 30, 40, or even 120 days.

Mrs. Obinim explained that these extended fasts caused her to lose a significant amount of weight. She also noted her personal preference for a slimmer physique, mentioning that her husband consistently monitors her weight and alerts her if she begins to gain any back.

Despite the physical toll, she views these sacrifices as a spiritual necessity. She drew inspiration from John 10:17–18, comparing her decision to set aside her career to the way Jesus Christ laid down His life for humanity.

Responding to social media trolls and critics, she remains completely unfazed. Citing Psalm 125, she likened her faith to Mount Zion, asserting that negative comments cannot shake those who depend on God. Fans can expect her to return to the music scene once her husband’s ministry fully recovers.
