Parliament Observes Moment of Mourning as MPs Pay Tribute to the Late John Kumah

Parliament is gripped by a solemn atmosphere following the sudden demise of Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Ejisu, John Kumah.

The announcement of his passing on Thursday, March 7, prompted the suspension of the afternoon session in Parliament.

Today, March 8, MPs from both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) assembled in the chamber clad in black attire to honor the memory of the late John Kumah.

His former seat in Parliament was adorned with a red ribbon as a mark of respect. The void left by his departure will be addressed through a bye-election.

Dr. John Kumah, aged 45, succumbed to a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Apostle Lilian Kumah, and six children.
