According to Manhyia Palace sources, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has received a formal letter from the Health Ministry informing him of the president’s new appointment.
Checks at the referral facility revealed that the facility’s board chairman informed the board members about the new appointment, which requires their approval, at the most recent board meeting.
Following approval, the hospital board is expected to officially notify the entire Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital working personnel in the coming days.
Personnel at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) had previously stated that they would oppose any nomination of non-permanent staff to the position of CEO.

“No KATH employees, No CEO; We are competent of managing our own business,” the aforementioned staff notice stated.
After more than three decades of service to the referral center, Dr. Oheneba Owusu Danso resigned last week.
