President Nana Akufo-Addo has highlighted the need for a long-term strategy to address Ghana’s football challenges, expressing concern over the recent disappointing performance of the Black Stars at the Africa Cup of Nations.

In response to the downturn in Ghana’s football performance, the President announced his intention to implement a ‘Presidential Policy on Football’ to address the current challenges in the sport.
He emphasized the need for a long-term, forward-looking approach, focusing on scouting, grooming, and developing talent at the grassroots level of the district. The proposed policy aims to rectify issues in Ghana’s football system and pave the way for sustained success in the future.
