Renowned music producer and sound engineer Zapp Mallet has issued an apology for his comments during Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s ongoing sing-a-thon challenge.
The music producer faced criticism on social media for making disparaging remarks about Asantewaa’s vocal abilities and approach to the singing marathon.

Zapp Mallet had previously expressed concerns about the feasibility of Asantewaa’s four-day singing challenge, questioning her strategy and offering critiques on her performance. However, following the public backlash, the music producer took to his Twitter page on December 27, 2023, to apologize to Ghanaians.
In his apology, Zapp Mallet acknowledged his previous comments and stated that, like all Ghanaians, he supports Afua Asantewaa in her endeavor. The apology comes as an acknowledgment of the widespread criticism and aims to mend any rift caused by his initial remarks.
