A tragic and deadly clash occurred in the Ashanti Region, leading to the killing of a 27-year-old man named Owusu Banahene in Tafo-Pankrono.

Mr. Banahene passed away on October 18, shortly after being found near a public toilet and rushed to the hospital.

While the police are investigating the exact cause of his death, the victim’s family suspects it may be connected to an ongoing conflict between rival youth from Adabraka and x.comhttp://x.com/tednewsgh.

The untimely death of Owusu Banahene, especially given his plans to return abroad, has deeply affected the Pankrono community. His family is demanding the apprehension and prosecution of all individuals involved in the incident that led to his tragic passing.

Insiders from these communities have pointed to increasing drug abuse among the youth as a contributing factor to the recurring conflicts. They express frustration with the continuous clashes and the apparent lack of resolution, noting that these issues have persisted for generations.

Residents are understandably furious and disheartened by the incident, and they have voiced their determination not to let it go unless the situation is resolved. They mentioned that the deceased was set to travel to Canada and all necessary preparations were in place, but he was fatally stabbed over a neighborhood dispute the next day.

Despite their efforts to engage with the police, they believe that those responsible for the disruptions often escape appropriate consequences. Currently, the police have taken charge of the Pankrono and Adabraka communities to prevent potential retaliatory actions.
