The demonstration aims to express dissatisfaction with the declining standards of football in Ghana.

The police are expected to issue an official announcement regarding the demonstration route. The peaceful walk, scheduled for Wednesday, February 14, in Accra, is intended to present a petition highlighting concerns about the state of football in the country.

Saddick Adams mentioned that the event is not driven by hate but rather a “positive anger” aimed at addressing the situation. The decision to organize the demonstration follows Ghana’s disappointing performance in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The national team, the Black Stars, failed to win a game in three matches, resulting in elimination from the group stage. This comes after a similarly poor showing in the 2021 AFCON, where Ghana secured only one point, marking the team’s poorest performance in the competition’s history.
